There was a reserve game against Wrexham on Tuesday. That may have been a factor on the pitch although it has been horrible for a while.
The reserves used to play at Kendal which protected the Globe pitch.

The pitch has been seriously shit for quite a while, given that it's only a few years old it's a crap job , drainage on weztgate was always going to be an issue, we've had quite a mild winter thankfully or it'd be even worse.
More bad planning from day one at the Globe.

Maybe just once you'll have something positive to say about the club, ground, Board etc etc etc....

Exactly although a former Director who sits next to me had to ask what all that was about. When told who it was about he joined in.
Wonder if Mr Burnard and his colleague knew what it was about

And that was held on the Globe pitch because the 3g pitches had been locked up by the administrator

That must have been a tough decision, but 'MFC' wouldnt want to let the kids down. People like administrators have a job to do, just a shame they havnt got feelings and a heart

Nothing to do with hindsight. A lot of people highlighted various problems with the globe during the planning/building phase (including the land) but their concerns were brushed aside due to the "we know best" attitude of PMG and MD.

On that subject, if people with expertise had been involved, they would have known about the grants available for all seater stadium - all or nothing!!

Agree Ken , football and it's fans were always second choice since the move, hence the attendance drop is all out of the Omega end, the new owner will hopefully realise that the football and it's fans come first!

And I hope the new owners realise the massive untapped potential within the local fan base. Jim's fine and the way the fans have come together to support the team during this dark period must count for something. We need new owners who will work with the fans rather than against them. Corporatisation was tried and has failed spectacularly, now is the time to get back to grass roots and that starts with the new owners giving some respect to the Omega fans.

FC Rostov have had their pitch "closed down" by the Russian Premier League due to the state of it...!
