North Terrace Sponsor

Postby marky No.1 » Tue Apr 04, 2017 11:43 am

Could be you!! ......Gala dinner 8th July

The highlight of the evening will be the two Sponsorship Draws, with the star prizes being sponsorship on the back of the 1st team squad shirts And sponsorship of the North Terrace, both for the duration of the 2017/18 season. Single entries into each draw are £100 per entry (there is no additional VAT charge for draw entries).

Like the idea of auctioning the players sponsorships rather than having the board. Just hope there are a few more names to sponsor

Whilst welcoming an initiative to get money in, I think it's disapointing that there obviously is no local business wanting to sponsor the stand, surely a deal with one of our local businessmen supporting the team would be more profitable?

Can you honestly see anyone putting the money in as a lump sum? At least they are trying something and there will be quite a few having a go at £100. Bet you have to do your own signwriting though

Could try these lot

Doesn't say if this is restricted to companies and if not, what an excellent opportunity to try and get the fans involved.

There are lots of stands named after the person up and down the country, I am sure whoever is willing to throw in £100 with the name John Smith will be welcome, just don't sell them to someone with the initials PMG (this is of course a joke and anyone with the initials PMG will be quite welcome)

I'll bet a whip round on the North Terrace would easily raise £100 for an entry so the guys on there could pick their own name for it if they win, e.g. The New Carwash Terrace!

A big assumption there! Do you know that it's been offered to local businesses to sponsor? Do you know who the club have approached? I've run a small business in and around Morecambe for nearly 20 years and never had a single communication from them. I suspect sponsorship of the terrace would be well beyond my meagre budget, but my point is that I've never even received a leaflet or letter about works Christmas parties etc - in the late Summer, I regularly get various letters/leaflets through the post from all kinds of local venues wanting me to host by staff party with them - never anything from MFC. Fair enough, I know all about the club's facilities, etc., but I could easily be someone with no particular interest and there'll be dozens like me out there who simply havn't been approached by the club.

I could see the young ladies doing the draw putting his name to the bottom of the pile. Wouldn't want to be saying has anyone seen him at the end of the evening

With all the problems getting a ground sponsor, why not raffle this off too? Say £2000 per entry and the winner gets a two year deal on naming rights. Might end up being the Atkinson's Fish and Chips Arena but at least it would bring in a few quid and generate a bit of publicity.
