Cole Stockton will not sign a new contract?

According to the Tranmere Fans forum quite a few believe that Cole will not sign a new contract at Tranmere due in part to the way fans treated him prior to coming to us on loan.
As much as I (and no doubt Jimbo ) would like him to return to the Globe he's more likely to seek a higher level of football and Shrewsbury are reported to be interested.

Sod that, let's get him back! Goalscorer and we know Jim's a big fan!

So much will depend on how quickly Jim will be given a budget. Having been used to early preparation, this closed season could well be new territory for him

We won't sign stockton 100%. He's under 24 so if tranmere have offered him a deal we'll have to pay compensation and there's no chance of that when we can just about pay wages. I'd imagine he'll earn more money at tranmere too than he would here, if he scores the winner at Wembley next week then he won't be short of options !

Don't Pompey have a well connected Scouser as a Manager? He would be a great signing for them.

We'll be more likely to see jack redshaw back at morecambe next season rather than Cole stockton

is the extra foot going to be on one of his leg transplants, or is he going to be like Jake the Pegg (with his extra leg/foot)?

Hope not, given what Jake the Pegg allegedly went on to do with his extra peg...

Jack wasn't consistent enough for my liking. Give me a target man like Cole... or maybe Thommo... instead.

Big risk. Last season he played 2 games for Blackpool totalling 64 minutes and 2 games for Rochdale totalling 27 minutes!

Agree BUT if we offer him a month to month contract depending on his fitness then for me a risk worth taking.
Certainly NOT a 12 month contract which if his fitness is found to be questionable then it's another wage we really couldn't afford for a non playing player.
Might sound harsh but we simply can't afford to take such a 12 month gamble ...irrespective of who he is and still could be.

That's my opinion, he'll come back on trial see how he goes and if he goes a few weeks without getting injured then we'll sign him
