O/T Safe standing at Shrewsbury

O/T Safe standing at Shrewsbury

Postby John L » Tue Jun 27, 2017 7:37 am

Ten years after opening their lovely all-seater stadium, which they no doubt received a grant for, Shrewsbury are planning to raise funds and apply to have a safe standing area at their stadium. I'll be interested to see how this progresses and consider if this might have been a good road for us to have gone down, had we applied for the grant to have an all-seater stadium ourselves...

The rules for standing at a football ground are quite in depth. I like the quote that you can stand at an seated stadium "in moments of excitement"

this is not really O/T this is quite relevant and helps make are ground become more future proof and safer for crowd control.

i just hope the extra staff we have now can seriously look into this.
