So looking for a good steak restaurant
Been a while since we went to Alfredos
still as good or can someone say anywhere better ??
Heard the bay steak or whatever it's called,
top of queen street
not sure about that or how it works ?
What about blue mountain
that used to be great but changed hands, so unsure
Thoughts please

Hi , I took a group of visitors from work to the bay steakhouse - all were happy with quality and service however as I recall access to bathrooms was via stairs - so if anyone with mobility challenges , best check with them by phone if there are arrangements . Most had the hot stones steaks where cooked at the table to your own preference it's also good that there are a lot of alternatives to grilled via the Thai menu that's also available.
I read about retirement of alfredos owners so maybe new owners in place worth checking?

Excalibur is on the opposite corner, just up from the Chop House (which is now The Butcher and Tonic).

Had a quick look at Excalibur menu wasn't that impressed to be honest
The Butcher and Tonic looks a good menu,
Anyone been to Alfredo's lately?
Or blue mountain??

Been to Blue Mountain a few times but it's the decor that spoils it for me, BUT food is excellent.

Have you been to the blue mountain in the last year since the new owners changed the menu? Menu looks good but the prices of me off.

Excalibur is what was previously Duke of Lancaster - the upstairs was turned in to student flats.
The Butcher n Tonic was previously the Chop House..... they are also a partner of the Shrimps Trust, offering discounts to Trust members! Membership launch night is 27-Jul at The Globe and will feature a Q&A panel to include players and members of the backroom team.... More details to follow.
