Couldn't make the match last night but at the previous match, whilst nattering at half time, I thought I half heard an announcement that an official re-launch of "JB's" is taking place, with 7th October (Crawley) mentioned.
Did I hear this correctly and if so what time are things occurring ?

Yes indeed. There is a full page ad in the latest Local Choice booklet that should have dropped through your letterbox or be about to, plus there were lots of posters around the ground last night, in the toilets and bars for example.
There's live music in JB's Bar from 1:30pm courtesy of Mark McKenna and then Steve Middlesbrough is DJing from 7pm with food available and free admission from 7pm to 11pm. As it's international weekend, all holders of Premier League and Championship season tickets will get discounted admission to the game for £10 on presentation of their season ticket and can also bring in one U11 for free to the terraces or Block E.

No drinks offers? Can't help but feel the club have missed a trick here. The live music will only appeal to a limited amount of people and the name change of the bar is largely irrelevant. To get more supporters to JB's Bar on match days the pricing of food and drink needs to be addressed. This re-launch has been well advertised yet there's nothing other than loyalty to the club that's enticing me to attend this event. The main reason fans visit JB's is to have a drink (or five) so why not reduce prices for this event to get people through the door?

They said at the Shrimps trust launch night the bar will now be economically priced so I imagine prices will be lowered,

It'd help if these things were advertised though, if it's actually going to happen!

Fantastic turnout, great entertainment but I can't see it being that busy most matches as the prices are still too high.

Pity they had run out of strongbow by 5pm on a grand opening (obviously no plan B)! My mate had to slum it and buy 3 for a tenner Magners!! Nice to see pictures of former players on the wall. Same old faces after the match slowly drifting away by 19:00. Some good home performances let alone results would be nice!

Credit where it is due, the club have done well with limited resources to launch the renamed bar today and it is the first time the place has really felt like a supporters bar. Noticeably more people in there than late pre-match (given no early prem game on TV) and a really good atmosphere.
Rod said at tonight's party that it is still a work in progress and more will be done.

Best night in the 'fans' bar ever. Great night, big thanks to Rod who took it to heart as usual. Great to see Graham Hodgson and Peter Cross with guests boogying away. This is how it should be.
Well done all the staff as well.
As usual don't let the Football spoil ya day.
Massive credit to Jim & Ken for buying every fan in JB's a drink - brilliant gesture
