Just watching our under 17s in India world cup on eurosport. If this is the future of our game then we are looking towards a brilliant future. Their skill factor and determination to win the ball and playing it on the deck is a credit to the management team. Restores my faith in our game going forward. Absolutely brilliant to watch.

disagree.

there's more German, Spanish, Italian U21s what play in their respective leagues than ours.

the premier league is not a reflection on English football, we have a very small percentage of English players playing in it compared to the countries named above.

it's like Swansea playing in Europe a few seasons ago against Valencia when they had more Spanish players(think there were 8) who weren't even full international players actually playing against a Spanish team, it's embarrassing.

I don't think most of us will see the full England team win a major tournament in our lifetimes.

It will get coached out of them or they will all vanish into Premier League reserve teams, or even end up in lower leagues. I think the last set of premier league games had about 30% of english players in them, all the better players are foreigners.

We'll see what happens to these lads but I suspect our game and the influx of foreign players could well change in the next 5 years.

All things change in time and our game will be no different.

It's quite possible that Brexit could have an influence :?: :?: :?:

The Premier League cares very little about the National team. They have a product to sell and with new markets in Facebook and Amazon, they will continue to push for the big names rather than bring through youth players. The national team will have the odd overhyped next big thing in it but the rest will be made up from players outside of the top six clubs.

Emile-smith Rowe is my second cousin.

Been playing for Arsenal since approx age 9. Has just signed pro papers with them. Exciting prospect.

Wonder if he fancies a loan spell at The Globe!?
