Halloween came early, 8 of their chances against 2 of ours and Baz pulls off more good saves.
Tom Pope sliced through our defenders like a hot knife in butter :( .

On that showing they won't be below us for much longer

Tom Pope would have enjoyed that seeing as he used to play for that lot in Blue from across The Lune.

I think Jim tried to sign him in his first season or so in charge if I remember correctly.

Jim mentioned that on the radio last night.

He actually had Pope in the building then Port Vale came in and that's where he lives and who he supports.

If you compared Pope to Oliver last night the difference was huge. Pope was causing our defenders problems with his pushes (which he got away with) and his runs pulling our defence all over the place.
Oliver was having to field long balls with his head and no-one was even in the same post code to receive them.
