Seems as though we can't convert when in such positions. Wildig has done something similar on a couple of occasions.

:( :( :(

Callum Lang has hardly had much game time and he was being closed down by a defender. Give a young lad a chance!

Are you reading the above JImbo.

About time Callum was given an extended run. Not the odd 20 minutes.....

Agree.
Lang has had very few opportunities since coming to us, and can hardly be match sharp.
For him to come on as a substitute, then to be faced with a one on one with the keeper in a real match
situation under pressure? That can't be duplicated on the training ground (if there is anywhere to train, that is).
It looked to me more like a good save by the keeper than a bad miss by Callum, anyway.

Callum Lang did more in that short time, than McGurk did in the whole match.

Our lack of firepower means anything is worth a try. I agree that Lang should be given some match time to show what he has got. A problem is our so called strikers such as Oliver and McGurk have never been prolific goalscorers. Nor are there lots of goals from midfield. Wildig particularly gets into good positions but fails to finish successfully.

Our chances multiplied 5 fold in the second half when we actually had a strike partnership. Their defence was suddenly rocking, but how we didn't score in that time I will never know...
Lang bashed the ground in frustration after his miss...
Still can't work out how Oliver managed to hit the ball so high over the crossbar :(

What does Osborne have to do to get a game? Yesterday was an ideal time to bring him on to give him a chance in the second half when we had nothing to lose.

When looking at AFC Fylde and Fleetwood, who were both featured on the BBC in the last couple of days,it makes me realise just how far behind we are with training facilities. These two clubs have put training grounds and facilities as priorities in their respective clubs' development over the last few seasons, whilst Jim will comment Morecambe have had nowhere to train for a couple of days, or relying on the co-operation of the College, or that a school playing field that we use is waterlogged.
It seems a shame now that we didn't build a more modest stadium with on site training venue, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I think the Fleetwood training ground is owned by Pilley rather than the football club.

Either we had no possession the whole game or the BBC was very biased towards Shrewsbury as judging by the highlights we had one decent chance all game
