Good luck to 'em

Just a pity that we are unable to find some land (and to afford same) to provide Jim and Co something similar.

I'm sure that the Board have investigated the availability of land in the Oxcliffe Road area which would have been ideal and close to The Globe.

A few years ago the club were going to buy that land near the crematorium where Westgate and Bare Cricket clubs play.

Acre Moss Lane is unused and a bog these days. Be nice if the council could let the club have that for a minimal fee.

Good shout BW but I think the cost of drainage alone would be out of reach of our club particularly at the moment.

I however suspect that the land is earmarked for Council backed housing development or private housing funded by a house building company.

Just a pity that we can't get back control of the pitches behind the Globe and replace the 3G pitches with 4G, 5G or even a 6G pitch which I understand is not as damaging to players, finance permitting.

Scarboro FC play all their home games on a 4G pitch and have not to my knowledge experienced any injuries due to the playing surface.

Bloody hell CC. I know that I'm a technophobe, but does that mean that my phone picks up the internet from artificial football pitches??? :D :D :D
