Karl oysten has left Blackpool, he's neither chairman or director any more. Great news for them.

In a statement, he said "dad lives just outside Lancaster and so we're looking for a League club closer to home..."

Hmm... things COULD be worse!

His extended family have been given roles within the club recently. I don't think there will be any parties until they are shut of all the Oyston's.

As for buying us, he has already lost 30mil, not sure he wants to lose anymore. I have heard an Oyston has purchased one of the posh flats on Broadway though!

Rumours are that the 2nd instalment of 10mil is late. Karl's sister is now Chairwoman and Sam Oyston is Chief Exec.

Not a rumour. The £10 million due to be paid to Mr Belekon on 31 January was not made.

They'll pay it, probably just being awkward as they know he needs the money sharpish, I wouldn't bet against Karl Oyston buying MFC though, and that would be a nightmare.

It's a nightmare when players and staff don't receive their wages on time and as far as I am aware Blackpool FC have never had that problem under Oyston.

Incidentally Macclesfield Town seem to have had problems paying their staff and some of their fans think this was a factor in their recent 6-0 loss at AFC Fylde and a few other poor results.

Why a nightmare? The Oystons got Blackpool into the Premier league, the only premier league we are looking at is the northern one!!

Suggestions of Karl Oyston declaring himself bankrupt in the coming days.

Without his dads money, could he really buy another football club?

But he as got his Dad's money, and will have more of his Dad's money once he's had his day.

Yes, I see our current situation like a Sand Timer, with Abdul's Money slowly running out and all we can do is watch.

According to Twitter, Father and son have had a major bust up which resulted in Karl leaving the board of 11 companies.

If it meant our club's survival then I'd shake hands with KO and unless I'm wrong he and his family did deliver a profit for Blackpool and develop their stadium from the run down thing it used to be to what it is now.

Some on here would no doubt object but the survival of our club is far more important to who is in charge. MrP has a well know dislike of PMcG..could it be any worse with KO as the owner and his investment would be significantly lower than it was in 'Pool and could see the development of our stadium to bring in revenues from such developments.

So I'd have no problems IF such a takeover happened.

Agreed , there's a lot worse options.

They are local , I used to play in the same cricket team as Ashley Oyston who is Karl's brother and he was a decent guy.

I remember seeing Les Taylor with Owen Oyston in the early 80's down at Christie Park. I think Les was trying to get Oyston to invest in us then! Not long after he bought Blackpool very cheaply i think and saved them from financial ruin! History to repeat??

Pure speculation, but would the Oystons be worse than what we currently have? If they are smart, they would no doubt learn from their mistakes at Blackpool. A smaller club, closer to home might just interest them. I doubt the Trust would have much of a close working relationship, but at least they'd be hands on and would have some business experience to bring. Getting Blackpool from decaying lower league club to the Premiership took some doing.

If it was a choice of no mfc or a buy out by the oystons then for me it's no contest. Another post gathering momentum.

Have to agree with the above's
if it cements our survival as a club, so be it
It cant get any worse than where we are at the moment

Until the Oyston family sell their interest in Blackpool they can't own/control another EFL club.

I don't think that Karl despite resigning all his directorships would be allowed to purchase another EFL club due to his close relations controlling Blackpool.

But compared to some of the other prospective owners who have been touted such as the Berlingo taxi passenger etc , I would have no problem with the Oystons taking over.
