Anyone heard anymore on the FIFA idea of
Reducing matches to 2x30 minute halves
With the clock stopping every time the ball goes out of play?

Sounds rediculous, but when you read up, it’d actually result in more football being played (time would be stopped when the ball is not in play). Somebody told me earlier this week that in the English leagues, the average length of a 90 minute match is 58 minutes (29 per half). Unsure how true that is, but I think Nizzo was bringing that average down yesterday with his goal kicks. Admittedly he was looking for a blade of grass to kick it off.

There was a game last season where Baz was wasting time after 10 minutes...
You are right with about 55 minutes. These stats show the Premier League in 2010 to have 3 games on just 44 minutes, the most being 66 minutes
