EFL says it wouldn't work for the Football League, even if the Premier League might go ahead with it.

In a perfect world the winter break for the PL would be used to encourage fans to go to their local clubs and for Sky/BT to air some lower/non league games.

In reality they will fill the time showing all the Middle East/Asian friendly tours the PL teams will have during their "break".

Yes, the idea is to rest the players for Internationals, but the top Clubs will be jetting off to far away lands for more dosh and selling merchandise - I wonder how our merchandise is going in China, have sales exceeded UK sales yet?

In our League it would be more about saving the postponements on poor pitches and avoiding the crappy weather
