For someone who is currently banned for gambling this is a huge gamble for Fleetwood. Wonder how John Sheridan feels?

Raping people is a bit different from a sly bet GD .....after Evans was acquitted he also was allowed to continue working .

2 criminal charges , a long time ago , the gambling obviously wasn't criminal , hasn't raped anyone though, what would you have him do , wear sack cloth and ashes and self flagulate?

That's not what I said, I cannot employ anyone with a criminal record , because of the nature of my business, under different circumstances I would give reformed offenders a chance, barring sex offenders, Bartons last criminal offence was over 10 years ago.

Still think he's a nasty piece of work. Time will tell.

Barton tells a good count of the incident in his autobiography. Well worth a read.

Just watched the Fleetwood Chairman interview about his appointment of his new manager. Looked to me as though he's totally ignored the feelings of the club's fans basically he knows what he's doing.

Is this the same chairman who refused to let the fans their own fans forum
