I just don't understand the management's persistence with Vadaine Oliver. Why was he brought on today for Callum Lang? Oliver has shown he cannot score goals. His ball control is poor and he might win headers but is unable to direct them accurately. It is wasting a position bringing him on and in my opinion he is simply not good enough to play league football. Why cannot our management team see this? What qualities do they see in training that has so far eluded us during games?

How about management's constant use of with nobody within 30 yards of him. The man isn't a miracle worker.
Bottom line is the team including management have been limp dicked for the whole season. 9 wins should see us facing the drop. Thank God there's two teams worse than us...

His head goes down too easily and the next three games are too big for him. McGurk, Lang, Wylde and Ellison are all better suited to the dog fight we’re in.

Harry Kane would struggle to get 15 a season playing in a Bentley side.

He wins headers and there’s nobody with him. He has a thankless task sometimes.

We are paying the price for going for draws.

He has to go for it on Tuesday night because a draw is no better than a defeat. Cambridge have nothing to play for so the Shrimps have to get in their faces from the start.

Jim has completely wasted his talents this year. Wins lots of headers but is so isolated he hasn't got a chance.

I rate him, I said in pre-season I hope when the season starts we don't play him upfront on his own, he'll just get isolated.

His very poor goals per game career record is telling. Someone in his position should be offering a far greater return. Perhaps in the close season we can sell him to someone like Sunderland, who appear to love buying non-scoring forwards. Either way, I hope he's not with us next year.

Glad to see some sense. York had Jon Parkin playing alongside him and it made no difference. They needed him to step up in their relegation battle, he disappeared and they got relegated.

Pretty clear what Jim saw in him. 6ft plus, well built and decent in the air. Jim made it known that he was after another Stockton type player but not on the wages that a Cole Stockton would demand. So you end up with a poorer version, poorer attributes and a poor work rate.

I do feel a bit sorry for Oliver as the tactics do not help him and some of the passes he has to deal with are Westgate Wanderers Under 8's standards. When he does win a header, our players are always on the flat of their feet. We never react first or anticipate where the flick will go.

Interestingly a growing number of posts are in agreement that he's vgot no back up playing. alongside of him t o take advantage of his winning balls in the air.

Trouble all his headers are non directional so having somebody alongside him seems pointless unless they got into his mind set to understand what he's trying to do.

His record at other clubs is not that good and I recall York fans delighted when he left for ourselves.

Initially I was very supportive of him but enough. Is enough....

Indeed. He’s got a head like a sherrif’s badge and it rarely goes where you expect it to. He’s actually better when it comes to his chest or feet as he’s strong enough to hold the ball up and lay it off.

Yeah rarely goes where it's expected to when he's tightly marked(back to goal) with a typical 6+ft defender up his backside.

Even a young Drogba would struggle in our side doing that Job.

Our midfielders appear to be given little freedom, i suspect with being told to keep it tight in midfield.

What about the 2 free headers vs Chesterfield that he didn't even hit the target with from within the 6 yard box? Unforgivable. The only thing he can do is win headers from Baz's goal kicks.

a fair description , the flick on is something Kev is guilty of too knowing he has no one to flick it on to !
