What was it like? Did many people attend? In another thread, someone said Jim was 'emotional' and didn't say much? I can only imagine the atmosphere would have been grim?

was certainly quieter than previous seasons. As soon as the awards were over the players and about 3/4 of the room were vacated! Jim was emotional, visibly upset (CC) didn't want to be there at all. He disappeared for a while but was still there at the end of the night though. As i was leaving someone shouted "see you at Solihull next season" he asked me what was that about! I just said one more game Jim just do it, he said they would try i replied no, do it!

The club gave out more awards than we've had wins this season. It's quite incredible it still went ahead. Looking back, the club couldn't have timed the "end of season" awards and the season ticket announcement any worse if they tried.

Good news that we are having a new pitch in the summer and that the plans and funding are in place for the cover behind the home stand.
AJ 2 awards for player of the season, Baz got 2 and Kev won goal of season.
Surprised me how many were there even though it was less than usual. Massive exodus after awards finished.

Does he not realise that what people are posting on the internet is exactly the same as what huge numbers of people are saying in the stands in person??? Everyone around us yesterday was critical of Jim and his tactics, same with people talking in the toilets and around the refreshment stands at half time, all basically saying the same things. Also quite a lot of anger from the people walking away after the final whistle, mostly amazement at Jim's behaviour. If the Board thinks there's just a tiny number of "keyboard warriers" complaining, then they are completely out of touch with ordinary fans.

I would probably be deemed a keyboard warrior as I vent my displeasure on this forum. I also buy a Season Ticket, 3 shirts a season, spend £10 a game on refreshments and about £80 in the club shop at Xmas.

+1
And the arse lickers who hang around after the game don't help, and two faced.

Excellent news regarding the new pitch and the cover behind the home stand.
Just another example of the current Board continuing to fund our club out of their own pockets OR is this an indication that new investors / owners have already committed themselves to taking our club forward into a new era....

No I isn't CC stop making things up, Berlin Waller is correct in his comments , humans are prone to gossip be it online , in the pub, or more importantly at the match, paying customers of any business are entitled to an opinion.

The 'Directors' are funding the pitch at a cost of tens of thousands.
3 Directors + Trust funding + hopefully a grant fund to sort the back of the Omega.
"some good news hopefully in the next 2 weeks"

How far are they going with the pitch are they just relaying it or are they sorting out what underneath and actually consulting Chesh this time.

"Rip it up and totally relay it"... Chesh got a standing ovation for his many years of service and winning the Club person award - well deserved!
It would be a lot easier without the shadow of the main stand blocking any sunlight down the touchline area and beyond

Wasn't it a turf expert from Heysham Golf Club who offered his services when the Globe was first being prepared and his offer was declined leaving us with the cabbage patch on which to play football.
As regards "good news in 2 weeks" the best news we could hear is that we have turned Coventry over or that Kristian Dennis has scored a hat-trick at The Hive !

Could sell some of the turf off to help 're finance a new pitch. It may not be football pitch standard but would be ok as a garden lawn.

Well done to all those who got awards, especially my old man Chesh for 22years of hard work for the club.
What is disappointing is the keyboard warrior making comments about stuff they actually haven’t got a clue about
Let’s get behind Jim and the lads and whatever the outcome Morecambe will still be Morecambe.

I will say I have let my frustrations known on here, and also Facebook. I don't regret anything I have said! Fans are the heartbeat of the football club and the standard of football we have witnessed over the years has been grim to say the least! I personally don't care if Rod is "Livid". We are "livid" as fans, thought about that Rod?
We pay our money on match days, in the shop etc so we can have whatever opinions we want, and if we want to vent against the poor management, then so be it.
The club has turned into a joke! 800 floaters turned up on Saturday for our biggest game in history, and we couldn't even manage a shot on target!

Agreed.
As soon as we built the temple to mammon and ego that is the PMG Stand, the distance between the ivory tower and the plebs down below grew out all proportion. Rod, Mike etc. are fairly grounded but those who hold the purse strings and shares inhabit the clouds.
