Coming soon with the new owners

“We will have a fans’ forum in the next few weeks,” Mr McGuigan said.“That means everyone can get in and ask them questions; there is no date as yet but, hopefully, it could be as soon as the week after next.”

Mr. McGuigan is making his stability speech once more. It's the same old twaddle he spoke when Diego bought the club or when he said the directors had a three year plan to bring stability. Why should we believe him this time? In my opinion he has lost all credibility and has much to answer for.

Some things never change, they really should have built on the feel good factor after Coventry and tried to take some momentum into the summer but again we have failed to take an opportunity.

The things is with the forums you just end up leaving with more questions than answers

With the Early Bird offer extended to the end of this week it may have helped sales if some good news had been put out.

The silence is deafening, but I'm not sure what we really expected them to say. No specific date was mentioned other than a few weeks which could mean anything. I'd like to believe that things are moving ahead both in the Boardroom and on the players front and that some positive info out of the club will happen sooner than later. New players are a must, so for me that's the priority. What happens in the Boardroom is secondary as we can't affect the outcome other than continue to support events on the field. Shhhhh, was that a pin I heard drop?

I was going to type exactly the same. I wonder how many seats they've sold for the Gala Dinner & Draw?

The Gala night was a lot better last year than previous seasons so i hope it goes the same way this time... just wondering how many of our owners/major shareholders will be in attendance.

Hopefully news on players, cover behind home stand, naming of stadium, clue as to what is happening with PMG Leisure, shirt sponsor, fans q&a to new owners etc. Most of which seem to have been overlooked - again unless I have missed something :(

Oh and the whereabouts of Christies Child

Cover behind the main stand? Again? Have they finally moved the CCTV that stopped that happening? Or was that the usual .....

"The Board of Directors of Morecambe FC are pleased to formally confirm the acquisition of the club by the Bond Group Investments.

The current bank overdraft and other significant debts will be repaid in full by means of an equity cash injection together with an injection of capital to support the club financially .

As already communicated an AGM will be held in the Local Choice Suite at the club on Wednesday 4th July at 7pm and all shareholders are invited to attend.

This will be followed by a Fan’s Forum at 7.30 pm which will give all fans the opportunity to meet the new owners, Jason Whittingham and Colin Goldring, and a question and answer session will take place.

We hope that as many Shrimps supporters will attend and hear first hand the exciting future plans for the club."

2nd this

It's like them plans marked out in red and blue regarding what the Trust owns and don't own, why draw plans right up to the perimeter of the North Stand(Berlin Wall) and Community block when PMG could have taken land where the Car Park is instead?

The Trust with 12million from Sainsburys should have at least been left with a complete football ground access all areas, when you look at them drawings, regarding Trust vs PMG Leisure and what Land was shared and marked out.

Nothing like arranging the fans forum before the England match to get as many people to the club as possible.

Oh, hang on ......

#AnotherMissedOpportunity

(Please don't comment about lack of time to re-arrange it, more notice than they gave us for their coverage of the England fixtures that had been known for months)

I will defend the club this time. They are having Forum after AGM so the new owners should be there. Also before the England game which started at 7 would have meant a 5pm start for forum, I think more will be there at 7.30.
Just my opinion though.

Thanks Outsider, sort of makes sense although forum & football would be a better pairing than AGM & forum. If the directors are committed, they should be ok with 2 nights in sleepy hollow instead of 1.

Such a shame I can't be there, really wanted to ask the awkward questions that won't get an answer.

As I'm going and have only one question to ask, has anyone who can't attend got any questions they wish me to ask for them?? :)

Typed some good questions but the tram tunnel put paid to that post. The 2 main ones

What land would be lost forever if Morecambe FC Ltd went into administration

What land would be lost forever if the creditors called in their loans and the club had to sell to pay?

The other ones would have just p*ssed off CC so I won't bother re-typing those.

Or if they have made a decision on how many chairs they want for the new boardroom table yet ;)
