New pitch

Did anybody else notice all the black pipes stored at the bottom of the gravel car park on Saturday :?:

We know that we are to get a new pitch, I wonder if the pipes are to be used as drainage pipes under the new playing surface.

Not sure when the current pitch is to be taken up but it could be that our home pre season friendly programme may be affected due to the time required for a new pitch to bed itself in.

I'm sure that any new pitch will provide Jim with a platform to play on the deck on a regular basis. When we did it last season we played well as was exemplified v Carlisle and on the bowling green at Coventry.

Jesus wept. It's only hours since we survived the fall and you're already talking about the pre season friendlies being disrupted all thanks to a few pipes.

Pitch works are due to start this coming weekend I believe - old pitch is coming up, new one going down. Rod Taylor mentioned this at the POTS evening, but at the time they weren’t sure on the start date.

I was told that a new pitch wouldn’t need as much time as repairing the old one - which would’ve been due to start this week anyway.

Cheers RedRedWine for the information.

As some posters aren't coming back this news will be of little interest.

Correct, a member of the board you suck up to so you can get your scraps of information from the top table is keeping supporters like me away.
