During his 4 year tenure at Carlisle he signed 66 players on contracts excluding loan players. Not many managers at our level would be able have the finances to sign that many. However it sounds as though Carlisle having to cut their playing budget. Its reported former manager KC and his staff had a combined salary of £200,000 per annum.

However of the 66, only 27 made any significant contribution according to their fans forum.

Former player and current Assistant Manager at Watford, Zigor Aranalde is being touted around as a very strong candidate to take over as Manager, with only mild interest amongst their fans for JB.

That's a tough job because if you don't get off to a flying start and are not in the top 3 in the first few weeks the fans will be on your back. Anything other than promotion would be failure to them and you wouldn't be given much time.

I think the pressure of a few thousand Carlisle fans would be a lot different to 20 keyboard warriors on SV's.
