I'm sure whatever anyone's thoughts are regarding the new owners , it is fantastic to see that work has started on the new pitch, they were taking up the old one today !!!

but are they just relaying the top level of turf or are they looking into the drainage and whatever ever else is under there so what the foundation of the pitch is made up of otherwise come winter we are back to square one.

Was wondering the same although I did notice some large plastic pipes in the back car park , maybe drainage pipes . Would make sense to try and improve the drainage while the work is being done .

Would certainly hope that someone has been brought in that knows what they are doing, some sunlamps down the side of the main stand would help too :) .... the players could use their exercise bikes to provide generator power

Maybe if the main stand had been built with all clear sheeting on the roof like Coventry has the shadow cast wouldn't have been on the pitch for as long during the season

Accrington post photos of the work being done on their pitch and also on the demolition of their "Cowshed".

MFC just seems like a secret society designed to keep customers in the dark !

I queried the large black pipes on the rear car park on Tuesday & was informed that was replacement of a sewerage pipe. Nothing in relation to any work by MFC.

I was down at the ground this morning. A few tons of sand laying on the rear roadway, I wonder if that is going down as part drainage under the new pitch.

This is how you do it. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/ur ... 9322783744

Daniel posts all the time on LinkedIn with ideas, products to sell, sponsorship opportunities and everything from a few pounds to millions.

This one post about sponsoring the stand shows at least two enquiries in the comments and tons of engagement with over 100 local businesses.

He’s also promoting his attendance at the Stadium Business Event at Old Trafford. Let’s hope we’re sending someone.

You can hope but I doubt it and if we do send someone they will prob promote their own company and not the club

Mr Posh is right about the club not doing its best to market itself. For example why are there no photographs to show if the pitch is being sorted?

The Accrington chairman regularly tweets photos of their pitch work and the demolition of the Cowshed stand on his Twitter account.

I can't believe that the club can't send a guy outside with a camera and take some photos of the pitch work to post on the OWS. We have had the sad news about Don Cubbage as the last news posted for nearly a week and it would be great to see some good positive news on a regular basis.

EDIT. A picture of the pitch has now appeared on the Club's Facebook page. Can anyone put the picture onto this page ?

Well now that we have the surface we need we'll be able to play the sort of football we want to play. If that comes about what the hell will we talk about on here?

Great news the pitch is being done - vital if we’re to progress - and thanks for posting the story and sharing so social media. Hope we can keep pushing out positive news throughout the summer.
