We are getting more hate than Gary Neville. At least we know Christies Child is alive and well and running our twitter page.

Thank goodness he is not being considered as a signing to fight for a place as 3rd choice keeper, after all.
He's certainly no Peter McDonnell.

What a class tweet. We stayed in the football league playing shite football by the skin of our teeth. Absolutely no class at all. What an utter cockwomble.

I posted a while ago that the club was run shambolicly. I was told I was utterly wrong.
Tonight, some classless clown has posted something on the club’s Twitter account that has been criticised and shared by the BBC, ESPN and loads more. The abuse and anger towards the club has been widespread and universal.
For decades we’ve worked to build the reputation of the club only for one person to shoot it down. Staggering.
Need to find the culprit and sack them. Any Man United fans with access to the account?

I thought it was funny and just a bit of a laugh but if the whole world of social media is going to take offence and hate us then probably best to take it down.
The tweet was more self-deprecating than nasty if you ask me. It’s not like we’re Man United.

Come on, it was just a joke. What has happened to the world? They lost a footy match and a Millionaire Goalie made a couple of mistakes, big wow. Typical response from the Scousers. Offended by everything, ashamed of nothing.

I thought it was funny too.
Why is the world turning so serious?

If the joke had been posted on the forum by one of us, I'd have thought it funny. Coming from an official club feed, disgraceful. Shows the level to which we have dropped if that's the sort of thing they think would attract supporters.

Disgraceful? No it isn't, it is humour. Why do we have to be so apologetic to a big club? Lowly Morecambe having a pop at Liverpool was the fourth best thing i saw last night

We as supporters can say what we like but the club itself should be above it. You're right, it's humour but I don't appreciate it coming from an official club social media feed. Doesn't look like the rest of the media thought it appropriate either.

Liverpool, the fans and the Media should take it for what is. A club who finished 89th in the footy league poking a bit of fun at a club in the CL final. People on facebook banging on about somebody needing to be sacked is probably the most offensive thing to come from it. Seriously, if that is the worst thing LFC and Karius read this week, they will have got away lightly. The world has gone bonkers.

If we were a fellow premier league club posting that on our official twitter then I’d agree - classless.
But we’re not, we are a tiny club who Karius has probably never heard of.
People are lambasting us, saying ‘who are a shit club like Morecambe to mock Karius’?
Well, erm, that’s why it’s funny... too many don’t seem to have got it though, or have just had a sense of humour bypass.

There was obviously an issue or the club wouldn’t have deleted it. A lot of our players are Liverpool fans.

The issue is over sensitive armchair footy fans who have lost the plot and some Morecambe fans that are calling for someone to become unemployed.

We only have about 10 senior players at the moment and they don't all support Liverpool.
The keeper is on say £120,000 per week and he throws a ball onto a strikers boot and then lets a punt slip through his hands. No Liverpool players gave him any support at the end and yet some of the Real players consoled him.
It was a stupid tweet and should not have been made as we used to have good relations with LFC especially when they lent us Danny Ward and Dunn. The club really ought to publicly apologise to LFC.

They're assuming whoever posted is paid to do the job, which I doubt they are. Last I heard, our press officer had a full time job elsewhere, always has had.

Still a huge over reaction though eh?

Over-reaction to ask for their sacking but not that it shouldn't have been posted on an official account.
Back to my previous post, I'm not suggesting for one moment that our press officer posted it. Well aware the club is run by various volunteers and I'm sure more than he has the social media passwords.
Drunk in charge of a password

I thought scousers had an amazing sense of humour? Are they going to ask all the fans of rival clubs who sing things like where were you when Benzema/Bale scored at Karius next season to leave the stadium? Also aren't a few of our lads, including our manager Everton fans? I bet they had a smile on their faces
