Found out today that Gordon sadly passed away on the 16th of may. Gordon was a life long Morecambe fan and attended every home game he could. Unfortunately due to his failing health we haven't seen him at the globe for a while but kept him informed on match days by text. We stood next to Gordon in the omega stand and promised we would organise a song or applause if the worst happened to him. We would be really grateful if someone in the know could put the word round for the first home game of next season and grant his wishes. His favourite football song was "you are my sunshine"maybe sing this? Thanks.

Yeah, I knew Gordon from Christie Park days and Bare Institute, a nice guy sadly missed. He sat in the seats at the Globe to start with, then moved so didn't see much of him later on.
He took the mickey out of me for enjoying "prawn sandwiches" upstairs (something they don't even serve) so one day I pre prepared a prawn sandwich with the trimmings in tin foil and took it to him to his seat at the game - made both of us chuckle :)

R.I.P. Gordon :(

My sincere condolences to Gordon's family. A great guy who was Morecambe through and through.

I asked him about the name 'seasonsinthesun' and apparently the song of the same name by Terry Jacks was number 1 the day we won the FA Trophy in 1974.

He will be missed.
