And only 5 of those are what you would call senior players although I have high hopes for Carlos and Lamin.

Before everyone starts going into full on panic mode just a reminder that our first signing last Summer was Adam Campbell on the 21st of June.

Yes it was a slowish start last season too, having been used to getting it all together early doors. The closing of the transfer window early has meant Jim has had his holidays in May rather than June, so he can get prepared before deadline day on 9th August

I'm sure in an interview he said pre season started on 28th June. So Jim and Ken will be needed for a 5-a-side game, at the moment. But I've no doubt come that date JB will have done us proud.

OK, I may be 7000+ miles away, but didn't Oliver have a terrible time last season up front? Is he on a long contract or something?

What's going on with Thommo is he out of contract and we are just helping him back to fitness? or is he still contracted.

He's out of contract but we haven't announced his release. I'm guessing we're seeing how well his recovery from his injury goes before deciding what to do with him?

Where do others see Kevin used in the forthcoming season? For me his pace has diminished over the last few seasons and it's no surprise....so would he be an ideal target man playing as a central striker using his experience as a foil for a younger and more athletic striker in a front partnership of 2? His days of running at a defence with the ball seem to have past but he's got bags of experience that a younger partner could benefit from as well as the team as a whole.

Really good news as was one of our better players last season and was great with Lavelle 2nd part of season.

hope we have a few others who decide to stay like Fleming but shame we are stuck with Campbell and Oliver TBH

Any news on the likes of Conlon signing on and who are the others still waiting to make a decision on contracts?

I would think Jim will see how Adam and Vadaine shape up in pre-season and training and if they don't look the part will look to put them out on loan. Both had the odd promising game , Vadaine against Cheltenham , Coventry , Yeovil etc and Adam against Newport and there was a a game where his shot came back off the post and hit the keeper for an own goal. But both had too many anonymous games.

Brilliant news about Old, especially on a 2-year deal. With the loss of McGowan, at least we can have comfort that our two good CBs will be together again in front of Big Baz for next season. If we get Luke signed up as well, it will give me confidence we have only to find one replacement in defence for our starting 11. We can then concentrate our efforts on strengthening our attack for next season.

Really am pleased that we've signed Old for the next 2 seasons. Personally I'm not too bothered if Fleming signs or not as he had limited game time last season which suggests to me that Jim and Co thought he wasn't up to the task despite the odd good performance. As for Luke, I'd welcome his signature on a new contract but again he was in and out until the latter part of the season when it appeared that he had made the left back position his own. No new signings as yet but certainly hope that we can find a striker rather than have to rely on Oliver and Co, although the new youngster(s) we signed did show a lot of promise but need time to adjust to the mans game before they can become regulars but never too young if you're good enough.
