From the Official Website:
THE Shrimps secured a 2-1 victory at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium this evening against a battling Bamber Bridge side.
Kevin Ellison opened the scoring with a 25 yard free kick, which found the top right corner of the net.
Adam Campbell doubled the Shrimps’ lead just after the break with a fine 20 yard effort second phase after a short corner routine.
Bamber Bridge pulled one back three minutes later from the penalty spot.
Full report to follow.
No mention of game of Radio Accrington this morning.

Oates and Oswell were also in the subs but their names on the team sheet were among the upcoming fixtures !

My observations were :-
Cranston looks a really good left back. Good pace , solid , a very long throw , and good crossing with his left foot. A real battle for Luke Conlan for that position.
Jagne and Gomes both looked good. Jagne really puts himself about and would have received a yellow in a league match.
Sinclair and Oswell also made a good impression and Oswell had a powerful header saved.
All in all everyone had a good run out and I assume Vadaine and Luke Conlan were injured as they didn't feature.

Vadaine and Conlan were in a car crash according to the visitor but ok (whiplash I think).
Like the sound of Jagne

Agree everything that Gone Shrimping has posted in particular the debut of Cranston, who looked excellent on the night with a lightning show of pace on the left. Will put Conlon under pressure. Both Jagne and Gomes impressed with their enthusiasm which along with coaching will be assets to our club, just hope that JB uses them wisely but certainly expect them to be used in the first team this coming season. A late substitute appearance by Codjovi also impressed with his speed. New striker Oswell depends very much of crosses into the box and this is an area that we will need to improve upon. Both Sinclair and Tutte look to me to be solid and will take no prisoners. The only ones missing where Oliver, Conlon as explained above and also Zak Mills who may be suffering a slight pre season training injury. A lot to be encouraged in the first outing of this pre season although for me we need some height in the midfield engine room.

Cranston was the stand out performer. It is a shame to have 1 player miss out when you have 2 good players for a unique position such as left back.
I wonder if Tutte will be the captain next season. He was captain second half over others such as Old, Wildig and Jim likes to give it to new players coming in (Murphy, Rose etc). Probably an incentive to join us.

I disagree. I think it is much better to have 2 good players for each position. Real competition for the shirt.

Sammy did that and for me we had too many players, often causing upset and just sitting in the stand
