Not a bad draw particularly if we also get Everton U21's for Jim.

2 potentially good paydays there :D

That's assuming that those who boycotted the games last season for I know not why, turn up and support the team on the night.

I know not why? That's rich even for you Neil. Everyone knows why the tin pot trophy's been boycotted since the introduction of Prem/Champ junior teams. Not saying, BTW, that I have, just...

I can't believe they have continued with this awful format of including Under 23 teams in the competition following the horrendous attendance figures since it began 2 years ago.

Needs reverting to its original structure.

It's almost as if the EFL chairmen are saying that they don't care what the fans think. That can't be true can it???

Just to play devil's advocate , if you look at the opinions of Andy Holt (Accrington owner) on twitter about the Checkatrade Trophy , he thinks it is very good for clubs of our size and gives a much better financial return than was the case with the old format.

We could revert to the old format and have less money or current format and have more money?

With our club teetering on the edge so often, with players not paid on time in the past, I don’t think we’re in a position to look a gift horse in the mouth. I’m not keen on the development squad inclusion, but on balance, I’ll take it for the cash.

And I guess that's why the majority of the clubs went along with it.

Do you want the U21 teams in the league? I will still be boycotting.
