Well done to GT for becoming the 3rd UK rider to win this years Tour de France. A great team display by Team Sky who supported both GT and CF until it became clear that GT had more in his legs this time than CF.

Also a well done to the riders who completed the entire route despite having a broken collar bone and a broken knee cap after crashing into a wall and landing on its other side. Makes the injuries to footballers who wimp off the pitch pathetic in comparison. Imagine a footballer playing on with either of those injuries.

There seems to be a disproportionate number of riders with asthma - I find this puzzling as when I was at School said people were a bit flakey when it came to PE and cross-country running in particular. If only they'd have had those non-performance enhancing aids back then to help them with this debilitating respiratory condition - it might've been so different.

The third UK rider to win this year? How many Tour de France have there been this year??? 8-)

Got to agree with the strength & determination of those guys. The chap who came off, landed face first, broke his nose & eye socket, yet completed the Tour? That’s some strength, physically & mentally! TT riders are tough but cyclists are up there too.
