it might be we'll have to get some youngster on loan from a premier league or championship club like we did with was it Whitmore from Burnley?

Carlisle are hoping to sign a central defender this week so they will be above us in the pecking order of available players

Interesting that Jamie Devitt seems to be out of favour with the new Carlisle manager John Sheridan , maybe Jim should have suggested a swap/loan between Campbell and Devitt.

Why is it urgent? Shouldn't this have been sorted earlier? If Jim was hoping to wing it with Old and Lavelle then it has gone tits up. Poor planning.

Simple, money. They’ve been in for half a dozen centre backs, can’t pay what they demand, they go elsewhere.

jim has obviously got some money left as he is hoping to bring in other players , get shut of sunday league Oliver on loan and have extra funds , as you say Freez Simple !!

But plenty on here repeatedly say that budget constraints have nothing to do with poor performances. They expect Ferrari performance at White Lund prices.

Unfortunately, on Saturday, we got Kenny Allen performances from most of the team!

think ive seen him once at the Globe, in a rare reseve game for me and thinking there were about 3 of the young lads what looked like they could go on and make it, and a defender was one of them?

Accy are after two centre backs, no joy, as they have money to spend but can’t get anyone in.
As I have already posted, we have missed out on at least half a dozen centre backs according to JIm and Ken, as we can’t meet their wage demands so they have gone elsewhere.
It’s not ideal, but if we can’t afford them, and Accy have money and cant find them, and others have turned us down as we are too far north, it may be a while.

So it looks like Kenyon at centre half again on Saturday

Radio Lancs seem confident that we will have a new central defender tomorrow. let's hope so, but no confirmation or names mentioned so far.

Play Oliver as a central Defender. He's good at clearing the ball away from goal.

I so wanted him to succeed last season even to the point of being blind to his short comings, but enough is enough.
