Once you get past the Chuckle, the goose and the Wally-with-the-brolly, we're down there at the bottom (no surprise!)...

Although at least we tried a bit harder yesterday :?

Seriously the losing streak is bad enough but for me not even scoring a goal in that time is even more worrying/serious.

no doubt Geoff Stelling on Sky Sports Score Center will jump all over this, like he's done just about every other week during a season with our home form since 2010.

£86 on admissions and one iPlayer match fee on holiday since I saw my last goal. I comfort myself by knowing that Baz’s save against Coventry was probably a decent level of compensation.

I comfort myself knowing that "we should have scored at least one goal" in most of those games.

The worrying thing is it might be 119 more days before we score any meaningful goals.

He has to play his best players in their best positions.

It was a better performance and we actually had 12 attempts to Exeter's 8 yesterday, but we've got to stop being wasteful and start putting them away

Can't fault the endeavour of the starting 11 but are the players actually happy playing under the current system? As was pointed out to me yesterday I'm no football tactician but whilst Jim has done an excellent job in this summer's recruitment ( acknowledged by numerous footballing experts in the media) bringing in players with fine pedigrees supplemented by a couple of fine young prospects, which far execeded expectations within the constraints of his budget, it appears at times that the players are not playing with the freedom or confidence in the system that I'm sure is of concern to the management team. Rightly or wrongly, I believe that a system that suits the collective is of paramount importance. I like others, do have concerns about the single striker we appear to favour particularly at home and like others wonder why JB persists with Oliver who for all his efforts yesterday was often isolated with no support what so ever. So whilst the performance of the team overall was an improvement on the last game, I still feel that the players will perform to their maximum within a system that they feel comfortable with and that the 119 days without a goal would be but a distant and somewhat painful memory.
