The Whipping Boys of League 2

Geoff Stelling's description of us on Gillette Soccer Saturday as the "whipping boys of League 2" saddens me and shows how the rest of football views us. Over the past couple of seasons our beloved club has deteriorated and only 3 wins in the whole of 2018 and no goals in the last 7 league games shows how far we have fallen. In that time there has been little attempt to play any football other than hoof ball and continuing bizarre team selections including playing a striker who simply doesn't score make absolutely no footballing sense. The observation that Oswell needs time is a bit rich given his goal tally last season and our inability to score this season. Exciting young players who might make a difference are ignored. We continue to select the same old same old and our deterioration continues. Change on the pitch at least is needed and fresh tactical thinking is required. We have been found out and we are predictable in how we play. This needs to change. Beginning on Tuesday Oswell has to start a game, the exciting young players have to feature. They may or may not be ready but they can't do any worse than the current team selections. The management need to change or be changed.
