Aaron Wildig on the OWS

Aaron Wildig on the OWS

Reading between the lines of Aaron Wildig's statement on the OWS it's interesting that he suggests that the way we are playing and the style is much better then last season. That for me suggests that the players are more comfortable with the change in style resulting in far more of our play being on the deck.

He gave a short interview end of last season saying not good enough, so I think he took the narrow escape to heart. I like Wildig a lot, he's fundamentally honest & always seems to be trying hard. He made a good captain when Baz was suspended.

He seems a decent honest lad. And in my opinion he is the best player we have

He's good!

But AJ Leitch-Smith is the Best we have! Keeping him fit is vital if where to stay in the FL.

He would definitely be one of the first names on the team sheet for me.

He is picked out for rough treatment (like last Saturday) by the opposition for a reason , because they know he can hurt them in the final third.

I was surprised he had so little game time in the last dozen games of 2017/18 season when we couldn't buy a win.

Jim goes on about the lack of leaders on the pitch yet we have a captain who is the goalkeeper and is in a position to have no affect on the outfield play which for me is part of a captain's responsibility by encouraging and getting those outfield players around him to put in a bit of extra effort. Again for me Aaron is the ideal candidate to be captain on the field whilst Baz should be club captain with responsibility for off field issues that other players may have. Others may feel that Alex should be the captain but given his limited game time this season, it has to be Aaron who must be one of the first on the team sheet.
