Anyone understand why Sam can not get a game ? Does Yarney have to start each game as part of his loan deal?

Probably as i imagine Newcastle want him to come back a different player. After being with us they will hardly recognise him!

Jim's computer says he is in the red zone, he has forgotten how to play on a Saturday, struggles when it is under 20oC, his Mum didn't send him with a pack up, his boot lace snapped, he got hair gel in his eye.......

Is there a good footballing reason why Yarney is being preferred to Lavelle? In my book Lavelle is a far better defender and Yarney has a lot to learn and I am not sure he is ready yet for league football.

The sooner Lavelle is back in the team with Old the better.

He reads the game so well.

I suspect it is part of the agreement with Newcastle that the loanee has to play and that Sam is the one to miss out which is criminal as he was one of the outstanding players last season. I believe that Yarney is the 13th choice centre half who we eventually managed to recruit during the summer, albeit on loan until January. His preseason with Newcastle promised so much but maybe he isn't ready for EFL1 having stepped up from Development and Reserve team action at Newcastle.

Its L/B whats desperate, Conlon doesnt look the same player as the one what finished last season, and Cranston is having a nightmare.

Was sorry to see Patrick Brough go, he was tall for a full-back could head the ball, play in a back 3, and was our best Crosser of a Ball.

Can't believe that the deal is that he plays every game, possibly guaranteed some game time but surely not every game :o

Could it be he just hasn't fully recovered from his injury ?

Remember reading on the Cheltenham forum that their fans didn't rate him.
