O/T Knight Rider, the TV Series

What a great series, thoroughly enjoyed it first time around. Michael Knight, a loner incapable of keeping a woman or doing anything without technology, putting the world to rights.

Shot in the face, plastic surgery and a false identity. Didn't do anything risky but handed over to the stunt crew to do it for them

Anyone else watched the programme?

That's the one, fantastic technology for the early 80s. Michael Knight would have been nothing without K.I.T.T.

Michael wasn't a whining sh##t with double standards....top guy, played by the Hoff , who, when you got to know the real person, turned out to be a total turd!!!

Top quality entertainment the first time around, but like so many blasts from the past, hasn't really stood the test of time.

Like Morecambe FC Ltd management and the Globe Arena Keith

In terms of the technology, look where we are now with self-drive cars. Back then the equivalent of a ZX Spectrum put man on the moon. It's amazing seeing how things we laughed at in the 80s are becoming reality

I preferred Airwolf.

They tried to do a similar hi tech motorbike one called "Street Hawk". It was a bit crap if I remember rightly and canned after one series.

For me, can't beat the A-Team for that era of programming though.

Miami Vice 8-)

It inspired a generation, you would see many a Lad in Harvey's Nightclub, wearing white trousers, slip on shoes, and Hawaian Shirts, thinking they were Gods Gift to Women

McGuyver. Actually met Richard Dean Anderson once, in a hotel in Ecuador.

I recently got the entire collection of Hill Street Blues. What a great programmer that was! The storylines are still fresh, but it is like watching a history programme! When did anyone last see carbon paper being used with a typewriter? For our younger viewers, a typewriter...

That's about right, proven in a lab. However, we have mag lev trains which run on, well, air.

There was a typewriter on the bar in the Cutty Sark pub in Greenwich last week, like going back in time that place, oh and great beer

I preferred Man from U.N.C.L.E. They liked names like that back then. Gibbs mentions David McCallum's UNCLE name in an NCIS episode. Anyone else know if that's been intentionally scripted in other recent series?

There was a typewriter in the World famous Phoenix Club too.

To quote Brian Potter, "and is that my best typewriter up there? Get it down, now."

Agree with the first 3 words, but I still think it's great and sometimes watch an episode or two from the complete DVD set.

This song was one of my favourites too, though years later. Just such a happy song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJQVlVHsFF8

Like the song but only because the Hoffs voice is only in the background of the chorus.
