Lowest crowds

308 Gillingham (60 Spurs)
465 Cambridge
512 Morecambe
601 Port Vale
669 Fleetwood
702 Walsall (9 Middlesbrough)
717 Blackpool
793 Stevenage
900 Accrington
875 Luton
929 Oxford
1015 Bradford C
1112 Mansfield
1139 Notts C
1179 Bristol R
1341 Coventry C.

A friend at Blackpool counted and said there was actually 350....

Time to scrap/re-invent this competition.

Hardly worth switching the lights on, even if all the 512 paid the full £5, it's only £2500.
Very difficult after 2 losses to promote the Sunderland game when they won both and already qualified

Nothing new here regarding attendances in this competition, you must bear in mind this was a game against a non-local Championship reserve side. I do recall a good crowd in this competition last season against Carlsile at home which I attended. For me the the check-A-Trade substitutes the Lancs cup which would be played if we were in the non-league; attendances in that comp were always low until you got to the final.

Would be interested to see what crowd a game against Man City's U23 would draw?

How do attendances for this version of the comp compare to the previous straight knockout, such as, Johnson's paint straight knockout version without the prem U23s.

....and yet despite already having qualified their fans are prepared to travel in their numbers to The Globe when some of ours can't be even bothered to attend...
