Feigning Injury

Feigning Injury

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought there was a rule brought in last season on feigning injury. If this is so then surely Colchester's Tom Lapsly should be cautioned after yesterday's performance claiming being hit in the groin, rolling round like a stuck pig, getting up saying he was OK, then going down again. If this is not the case the referee should have forced a sub for the man's own H and S. And Pell was just as bad.

The incident happened just in front of where I was sitting. The ball seemed to glance him in the chest area, but down he went like he had just been kicked in the clams. The ref was close, and it was blatantly obvious, he should have given the player a warning.
