Following the stats from the last 2 games MFC has had 2 shots on target. I am 55 yrs of age with a heart condition and awaiting surgery on my back and I recon I could get at least a couple of shots on target. I am free to sign because something is very wrong at the globe but at least the cows will be safe.

One word: pathetic.

At a time when the team is struggling badly for goals, especially at home why is it that the esteemed manager leave out a young guy who scored 40 odd goals last season and puts in , albeit a great servant, someone nearer 40 than 30 whose legs, let's face it, have all but gone. Oswell must be pulling his hair out as to what he needs to do to get a start.

It's alright to say we have a load of injuries, but the guys coming in are "professional footballers"- they haven't been dragged off the street to play and surely have enough in them to have an odd shot or two.

Time to stop "the old pals act" and get youth, pace and hopefully goals in the team.

Back to the subject, I think there is some mileage in a new Playstation game called "Backsides & Banjoes" - imagine chasing cows around a field and getting points for each hit- sounds like a winner to me.

I think your initial phrasing of the subject title of "Coo" left it open.....

No sense of humour bypass at all trying to stimulate debate. The word coo is what we call it like millions of people in Scotland and the north east of England as a result of the great vowel shift starting in the 14 th century and finishing in the 18th century which did not effect these areas so to this day it is a coo and therefor a legitimate word. I do hope your attempt at justification means that your knowledge of English and it’s colloquialisms is just poor and some homework is required and not a dislike for the Scots or those from the north east

Doonhammer, I don't think Seasider, Keith, or the vast majority on here had any doubt what your intended meaning was in the thread title. Equally I don't think anyone is taking the mickey of your accent or use of colloquialisms. I also think the sense of humour bypass comment was entirely justified. I see nothing in Keith's post which attempts to shut down debate, just having a bit of fun with the word 'Coo'. The problem will always be that some at one extreme think Jim can do no wrong, some at the other extreme think he can do no right, and some (I suspect the majority, but I could well be wrong) think he can do wrong but he's working with limited resources. I appreciate this is the case, but there are times when I criticise him (for example last season starting a home game with 7 defensive outfield players), albeit this season I think we are playing much more attractive football, which as yet it isn't paying off. I for one am prepared to allow more time for it to come together, because frankly the way we're playing I can't see it not.

Nobody ever mentioned a "dislike for the Scots or those from the north east", so don't put words in my mouth or even think them.

I know fine well that a Coo in Scotland and the North East is a Cow (heaven knows I do enough work in Scotland and the North East to know and recognise their accents....).

It would have just been far easier for you to type the word "Cow's" surely.

Pretty much everyone thinks this, bar a very small, very vocal minority.

Truth in this.

With being an old Car Wash Stander, and Berlin Waller, i would say on average the Fan's are older and more knowledgeable with football in this section , and like me just there for the Football on Match Day.

I will take the moral high ground and apologise for any offence caused but please do not have a go at someone and not expect them to reply in such a manner as as your reply. The forum is for everyone no matter who are what they are and no one should apologise for any aspect of who they are including how they speak. Likewise no one has the right to have a go. As I said the idea is to stimulate debate if humour is a requisite have a post asking for jokes.
