Leicester City Helicopter Crash O/T

Postby RedRampage » Mon Oct 29, 2018 10:36 am

Such sad news coming out of Leicester City. Puts a lot of things into perspective. What Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha achieved at Leicester was nothing short of miraculous, and I very much doubt any of us will see anything like it again. It seemed that he loved the club and the community. Himself and 2 members of staff along with 2 pilots lost their lives. Thoughts are with the club and the families of those affected. RIP.

It is awful, but I can't help feeling, it could have been so much worse. Only a few meters further on and it would have come down on a road or buildings. In fact, it is amazing there weren't people in the car park still.

So how did that work out then?

It's being said they have the pilot to thank for there being only the casualties on the helicopter.

Must of been Horrendous, the Pilot would have known the outcome after taking off in trouble and probably carrying a full tank of fuel.

Don't like Helicopters! When they play up there like Fairground Waltzers spinning round out of control, Airplanes are safer.

I went to Fleetwood years ago and did my Offshore survival training to work on the Oil Rigs, but was put off taking the job because around that time a few Helicopters went down including the one in Morecambe Bay.

even in training they say you've no chance in an helicopter, and even if you do survive the crash the Sea's that cold even with your life jackets on you've had it.

Not sure how true, but apparently it may have been hit by a drone of some sort.
