Changed this to be the match thread.

Looks like a further injury crisis looking at the subs bench?

We don't seem to be able to get a decent run of games from Tutte and Wildig. I know they get a bit of rough treatment but neither seems able to cope with the physicality of league 2.

Oswell must be wondering what he has to do to get a run.

Hope Mendes plays well but has been an unused sub for the past 6 games or so. Strange that Jim now uses him from the start. surely not match fit. For me yet another strange decision by the manager but he will be judged on results as we were told at the recent AGM.

Unless he's picked up a knock which would also explain him not getting on the pitch v Tranmere too?

Hope you are correct but for me Jim hasn't much faith in Oswell to deliver especially the number of times he's been on the bench and failed to come on even when we've been desperate to score...and yet he still played Oliver who up until recently was poor.

Amazed Nouble not booked for a dreadful tackle (assault!) on Cranston who is now hobbling. Ball fell nicely for A-Jay, so he played on.

Cranston currently off the pitch getting treatment.

Can't fathom how that tackle didn't get a card.
@ShrimpsOfCanada for my Morecambe centric comments.

AGHHH!!!
Great shot from Cranston, similar position as last Saturday, perhaps a bit closer. Keeper saved it but couldn't hold it. Fell nicely for Oates who missed the target completely with the goal at his mercy. Probably the best chance of the game so far.

Morecambe have done well for the first half hour.

Either the ref didn't think it was a foul at all, or it was but he played advantage?

But if he didn't think it was a foul at all, why did he spend time talking to the player when the game stopped for Cranston to get treatment? If he thought it was worthy of talking to him, then it should have been a yellow card for sure and possibly even a red.

Just watched the tackle on Cranston again. DEFINITE red card! Both legs off the ground and went straight through Jordan. Dreadful decision.

So given we’ve got no Fleming, Wildig or Tutte, and the only other fit central midfielder is Ben Hedley, who would you play instead of Mendes Gomes?

You could play Oswell up front on his own as target man, with A-Jay further back instead of Mendes-Gomes.

That said, Mendes-Gomes has had a good game. And as I said earlier, I'm not sure if Oswell hasn't picked up a knock.

I doubt Oswell has a knock. Jim just doesn’t trust him. He said he studied Cambridge and saw Oswell was the right man to pick. Why only Cambridge?
