Well he's back with us but where is he? He would surely be preferable to some of the names we've never heard of on the subs bench. No world beater but a fairly experienced pro' who could maybe do a job for us either starting or coming on later.
UTS.

Seem to recall Adam saying publicly that he wanted to stay with Carlisle and didnt want to return to Morecambe.
So for all we know Jim might not like his Attitude.

He was deemed good enough to start the most important game in the clubs history but then bombed out on loan and on his return was lambasted by the manager about a bad attitude. Welcome to Jim's World

I thought he was decent last year, and would definitely be a welcome addition on the bench at least given how short we are of attacking options.
I can only think he's done something behind-the-scenes to upset Jim, in which case I hope Jim can find a replacement.

I wondered if there had been a falling out. Perhaps young Adam needs to grow a pair and realise that he wasn't exactly flavour of the month at Carlisle and his immediate future lies further South with us.Perhaps Bentley also needs to manage him accordingly and do whatever is required to get him back in the fold.

You can only play for 2 clubs in a season, if we play him now that would mean we can’t loan him out. I’d imagine Jim is looking to get him out in loan again but if that doesn’t happen then we’ll probably see him back in the fold once the transfer window has shut.

Is that 2 EFL clubs in a season or could we play him and then loan him to a Conference club ?

Does that include being named as a sub? He was on the subs bench v Crewe the other week.

It’s a FIFA rule not an EFL one.
You can be registered for 3 clubs in a season but only play for 2. Campbell has currently been registered with us and Carlisle but has only played for Carlisle so is still able to join another club this season providing we don’t play him. Being an unused substitute doesn’t count.

I think FGR are having the same problem with the young lad Bolton were meant to sign from them.

Just out of curiosity, is that the same in the FA Cup? Could you be named in a squad as a sub, not come on to the pitch, and not be cup tied?

I think so as long as you don't actually play. If you are on the bench in an International at any level but don't play for that country you can change you're mind and play for another country! That's if you've had a guinness or a holiday in that country! Wasn't Giggs in an England under 19 side but didn't play then went on to play for Wales?

Giggs played for England School boys as he was educated in England.

Loan window is closed now and Campbell can't sign for another team, so are we going to see him play?

Given that Adam actually looked OK and made a few good breaks in the few games he has played for us, I'd like to see him given a proper chance, especially given our injury problems.
If Jim as as good a manager as lots of people say he is, then I'm sure he could smooth over any issues there may have been between them, and start using him.
It would be a travesty if he just gets forgotten to warm the bench occasionally.

I don't think the Conference has a transfer window as such so maybe he could sign on loan for a club in there as long as he doesn't turn out for us.
I thought he looked quite impressive in the pre-season friendlies and so as long as he is putting in 100% I see no problem in Jim giving him some games.

He was our top scorer in pre-season, started pretty much every game, and then Jim booted him out a day before the season started!
Looks like Jim doesn't like him, maybe Adam has told him some home truths he didn't like?

Assuming he's not joined the injured list, then I guess we will find out on Saturday how the land lays? It may be he left pre-season simply because he was the player that was enquired about and at the time Jim didn't think he had a problem with midfield? Now midfield is decimated and Adam could be just what we need, so I'd like to see him on the pitch at some point on Saturday.
If that doesn't happen, then we can probably start to make assumptions & conspiracy theories!

Not even on the bench. Anybody in the know shed any light?

There is a Radio Lancs interview with Jim from last week. Spoke about Adam at length. Basically Jim is doing him a favour letting him train with the first team and not putting him with the youth. Adam has an agent trying to find him a conf club as he has been told he is not in Jim's plans.
Nobody questioning why a club with the self proclaimed lowest budget can afford to have what I presume is a high earning player sat in the stands?

Cheers for that. Good point you make.

When we have got Mingoia racing down the wing and creating opportunities in the first 10 minutes, why could we not fetch Cambell on,
not even on subs bench
to put fast pressure on the Bury defence, instead of letting them take control for the next 75minutes before we start to attack them and then we fetch a striker on with 4mins to go

We definitely didn't need him, but I'm still curious as to what happened with Campbell. Noticed he was sat with the other players injured/not picked on Saturday, so he came to the game at least!
