Bring back Thommo

In view of our need for experience on the field and the apparent lack in the transfer window to date, the management should giving serious consideration to bringing Thommo back on a short term deal until the end of the season. Assuming that Bennett needs the service to score goals then with Thommo on the wing (and staying on the wing) where he is most effective it would seem for me the logical move to make.

An inexperienced player on a loan deal is for me no substitute for an experienced campaigner like Thommo.

All due respect.

A) Thommo was injury prone
B) we dont really play with wingers
C) Jim can use the money to strenthen other areas, like L/B
D) small budget cant carry passengers.

A new Left back? Conlan is doing well this season and then there is Cranston. Lets try snd sign some players who can score goals or create chances.

If we need Bennett to score then he needs service from the wings as we saw in the video of his goals at Barrow. Maybe it's time that JB started to use wingers to provide the service we've been crying out for.... :?: :?: :?:

A growing number of EFL 2 teams come to The Globe and play with wingers to an increasing amount of success.

Look at the number of chances Devit created when he was with us and he played mostly on the wing.

Start the game with Thommo and after 60 minutes bring on Oates who we all accept appears to have fitness issues.

Teams use wingers against us because we have nobody wide. This has been evident since PNE away

Not just since PNE, must be 3 years, seems ages since we had full backs/wingers whizzing down the touchline :(

Everyone sees things different. To me a lot of our problems are down to the left back position. Conlan gives the opposing wideman too much space. He also hacks them down for penalties or free kicks from which goals are scored (Oldham for example).
I think Florent's deal ends in the next week so I doubt if we will see him again which is a pity as the tiny glimpses seen seemed to suggest he could be a decent player.
To me the man we are really missing is Fleming.

I agree with Conlan looking exposed and have been banging on about his positioning for ages now. The latter is a tactic employed by the manager. The former is a result of teams seeing how exposed our flanks are and doubling up on Luke. Kev never closes down nor does he track back effectively.

I am really looking forward to jbs next video installment. The one where he sits by the laptop and tells us which players are to blame for our results and then tell us that we are on a good run of form!
