Good luck Thommo! Probably the correct level now following serious injury and age catching up with you.We will never forget you at your peak when your barnstorming runs down the right wing ripped teams apart and thrilled us wek after week. Wembley play off final will forever live in our memories. Unfortunately as you reached your best you decided like many other former 'stars' to ply your trade elsewhere. Unfortunately a problem which has afflicted us over recent times. Thompson, Drummond, Devit,Perkins, Barkhuisen, Baker et al. We have had some of the best at our level but can never seem to keep them. Shame but at least we can say we witnessed them at their prime.

Best of luck to Thommo.
Let's hope he helps to inspire Workington to help, in turn, relegating L**caster to the Evostik West.

Good luck at Workington, Thommo. Your contributions to Morecambe will never be forgotten. That ball out of defence for Danny Carleton to score at Wembley was superb as were those pulverising runs at pace down the right wing terrorising opposition defences. Absolutely superb legend of the club.

Am sure it will be a good move for Thommo but can't help but feel that in view of our situation that his experience would have been invaluable to us for the rest of this season. For me a bad decision to let him go when there appears to be no replacement winger on the cards.

We badly need a player or players who can deliver accurate crosses into the box. Something we just don't have in our locker.
