Aussie Rules Football?

It's been pointed out to me that today's ref is Jarred Gillett. He's been one of Australia's top referees for many years, officiating in the 'A' League. He was referee of the year on five occasions (so hopefully a good one!) As well as Australia, he's officiated in Japan, India, China & Saudi Arabia.

He's come to the UK to be a barman in Walkabout (or actually, study at John Moore's University)

Today's game v Cheltenham is his debut in the English Football League.

Just hope he doesn't let Cheltenham use Aussie rules!

Perhaps we could find a skippy mascot and play Kylie records to make him feel at home? Men at work anyone? :D

Ha! Yeah, a challenge for Swids to get some Aussies on the playlist!

Kylie: 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' because it makes me think of 'that' video...
INXS: Pretty much anything but probably 'Devil Inside' or 'Need You Tonight' would be my favourite.
Natalie Imbruglia: 'Torn'
Tim Minchin: 'Drinking White Wine in the Sun'... yes, it's a Christmas song, but probably the only Tim Minchin song that wouldn't result in complaints!
Men at Work: 'Down Under' ('cause can't think of anything else?)
Gotye (featuring Kimbra): 'Somebody That I Used to Know' (great song, great video)

Anything else?

75th minute... so far he's been one of the best refs we've had for a long time. And I thought that while it was 0-0 too! :D
