Yeovil down, Macclesfield or Notts County to join them?

From a financial position, it would be better for us if Notts County avoid relegation, but I can't see them being as awful next season as this, even with their financial difficulties. If Macc miss the drop next week, they will probably be favourites to go down next season, increasing our chances of staying up!
So I reckon, I'd rather see Macc get a point or three next week and County go. It would be really sad for a founder member of the Football League to do so, but sentiment means nothing!

Yeah would be very sad to see Notts County go, and financially it would be nice for them to stay up. That said, I totally agree that Macclesfield are going to be down there with us next season most likely, so I hope to see them stay up.
Could come back to bite us next year though when Macclesfield win the league!

They've got as much chance of doing that as we have

Good point. If Bolton , or even Bury, folded I suppose a relegated team/s from the bottom tier would get a reprieve. Hypothetically speaking of course, because I can't ever imagine Bolton or Bury being allowed to disappear, even considering the massive financial mess they are both in.

Likely go in to administration rather than simply wound up, so beginning next season with points deductions?

Never
....I always knew we would get out of the relegation battle under whoever was the manager.

An excellent season is 22nd or higher.

If 22nd is regarded as excellent then we stagnate and it's another case of 'same old, same old'.
Surely our ambition is to be at least mid table otherwise we accept an eternity as relegation candidates, something that wouldn't do JB and Co any good in their understandable ambitions to move onto a bigger club.

Any season we aren't relegated is considered a good season in my eyes when you consider what we are working with.

Sorry to disagree but Accy got promoted on a rumoured budget last season not that much better than ours.

Negative attitude! we should be looking towards mid table to call it an "excellent season"

Fair comment rr, if the last part of your statement is true, and not a rumour.
Still have to agree with S9601 though. That doesn’t mean I don’t have ambition, and dreams of better things to come for MFC.

I thought that had been debunked on numerous occasions? Acci's budget was
WAY above ours, especially when you add in their win bonuses. Their win bonuses went beyond the chairman illegally buying the team a Mc Donalds on the way home!
