Who's going to Barrow?

I know the rivalry but never been to an away fixture, so wondering what it's like visiting Holker Street as a Morecambe fan? Will it be segregated? What sort of team will we put out and is it easy to park at the ground?

Plenty of unrestricted street parking around the ground, yes.

Can't see it being segregated.

Behind both goals is uncovered.

Our last visit there was July 2010 and resulted in a 0-5 defeat.

Not a great evening....

The team will be the same as last two games (maybe 45mins for each player) to get their fitness levels up

Would love to have been there tonight but just come out of Furness Hospital having had my smashed elbow repaired thanks to a chunk of metal. Unable to drive being left handed so can't change gear but also high as a kite on Tramadol, Morphin and Paracetanol.

Hope the lads put on a good show but performance more important than result.

Enjoy...... :)

Sounds like we missed a good few chances first half.

Let's hope Jim can pull a decent striker out from somewhere.

"Att; 704 with 96 from Morecambe"

"Morecambe should have had 3 or 4...."

Just had a watch of the highlights, shame about the result but we really aren't looking bad. Cut through Barrow on several occasions, just our finishing was terrible

Right hand side of Buxton/O'Sullivan looks good should they both remain fit. It's only highlights, but I've been super impressed by Kenyon. Been critical of him in the past, but looks like he's really hit whatever fitness goals Jim set him for pre-season. Looks quicker, and seems to be making lots of runs into the opposition box. We look to be going 4-4-2 for this season so we need our CMs to have good stamina to cover up and down the pitch - guessing Jim had this in mind when setting Kenyon those goals.

Agreed but still think we are lacking up front with goals so can do with a couple of strikers but will have to wait and see...

Impressed with our running with the ball out of defence but badly need to finish the good approach work off.

Their second goal was for me s re run of too often last season where a player just outside the box was given far too much room in which to have a strike on goal.

Get the striking position soreted and we should be OK but to date looks as though it's a re run of last season before we brought in Collins et al.

Worrying as i suspect finances will dictate how far we can go in getting a proven goalscorer in.

That's good to hear. With Flemmo out and Tutte/Wildig being injury prone, I can now see Kenyon being a regular starter this season, whereas at the end of last season I couldn't see much of a future for him beyond bench warming. Let's hope Jim can work his usual magic to improve Kenyon and mould him into a more attacking midfielder.

I fear for us if we are looking at Alex to be a midfield regular. You can not fault the lads attitude but he would not get in to any other team in this league. A valued squad member but nothing more than a fringe player.
