Everton U23s 1 v Morecambe 3 Full Time

Postby Redalert1970 » Sat Jul 20, 2019 3:00 pm

David Unsworth has hailed Everton's U23s side after a behind-closed-doors pre-season loss to Morecambe on Saturday.

The League Two side took the lead from the penalty spot midway through the first half through Jordan Cranston, before doubling their advantage in the second period when the left back's cross took a wicked deflection and found its way into the back of the net.

Ryan Oates slotted his side's third in the 64th minute, before Blues substitute Manasse Mampala headed home 10 minutes from time after a slick move involving Bobby Carroll and Anthony Gordon.

No names but maybe 2 trialists. At the start of the match someone on our bench is blurred out and on the field the player (presumably a forward) who had a cross handled for a penalty is also blurred out.

All may become clear next week at Marine and at home to Accrington.
