Tricky thing this, the Club want us to spend money at the Globe, which is highlighted by 3 hospitalities for £40, then our manager is opening the boozer down the road highlighting discounts on food and beer.
The York is also reopening it's kitchen next week, so together with the Hurley on our doorstep, our customers have plenty of choice in pre match walking distance

Agreed but the discounts are only valid non match days I think
so no real dent it the clubs coffers, just gives fans more choice on non matches days ???

Well done Jim. With all the best will in the world, they couldn't get all the fans spending money in the ground before a match. I only need to glance back at Facebook check-ins to see our supporters meet in pubs close'ish to away grounds, rarely a club bar.
Places like the Mitchell & Flyer are best kept on side, in fact they could be attracting more supporters to the ground with prices lower than the club for a pre-match drink.

The Boardwalk are sponsoring us and welcoming fans aren't they, wouldn't that be a good starting point for some fans depending on which end of town they live?

So anyone eaten here since it re- opened ??
May pop in one evening for a bite to eat, as I find the Hurley Flyer getting tiresome with a very poor choice of draught beers
