What an excellent interview and well done for highlighting the positive things that the Academy Staff do to help and guide hopefully future first team squad players.

Just a shame that all the hard work by Drummy and Co isn't replicated by seeing more 'home grown' talent in the first team squad.

Said it before but Drummy has the potential to become a club manager, sooner than later.

:) :) :)

I’d be all for Drummy becoming someone’s assistant, but if we were to part ways with Jim this Summer, I would rather have a more experienced manager.

I’d love to be proven wrong because I think Drummy is an excellent member of the team, but just managing the reserves & YA isn’t enough for me to automatically have him in line as Jim’s successor.

Jim will be here longer than the owners..if they aren't investing in players now the chances of doing so after paying off Jim and Ken are slimmer than slim...so Neil's thinly disguised fresh Jim out post is a waste of time ...woeful.

Back when Jim was being mooted to take over from Sammy, I was saying something similar, but I'm actually happy to say I was wrong, in spite of the fact I now want to see Jim leave, as I think he's done all he can for us. On that basis, I'm happy to see Drummy offered the job, if it comes up. I would expect him to do much better with the midfield than the shambles we have now.

And who's to say Stuart Drummond would take the Managers Job?

Mr Drummond already as a good job, what's full time, and a lot more secure than a 1st team Managers job, and does he need the Stress what come's with it?

Great news already. This week, MFC academy have been in touch with the relevant people involved with local grassroots, with regard a closer relationship, and making every effort to find, and progress the right lads from our area. Could, and should have done this sooner, but hopefully this is the start of something good. Well done all involved.

Impressive interview. Great to hear some positivity and forward thinking but with realism.

Far better than the over-enthusiastic promises made by successive directors/owners that have come to nothing and the years of negativity from Jim.
