Worth a thread of his own, what an impact and difference he made coming off the bench!
Must be the best passer we've got, should have him in center midfield, not many will knock him off the ball, as Full-back he often gets caught out for pace, where as in Midfield he will have plenty of cover, so pace wont be an issue.
Buxton for Central Midfield Duties!

I suggested this after his last cameo performance at home. Would be a hell of a defensive midfielder. Be a throw back to the days of Andy Gouck, the best passer i have seen in a Morecambe shirt, just had the turning circle of ferry.

Downsy said the same thing on today’s commentary, he is very comfortable on the ball with either foot, mobility is better than he looks too, just pace is the issue!!

Fully agreed, hopefully at centre-mid his mobility issues will be less noticeable, but I guess they might be more noticeable. If Conlan and Tanner are fit though, we can't afford Buxton on the bench. He's possibly our best player going forward, maybe other than Alessandra.

Good shout! Would certainly like to see Bucko played in this position! Possibly a mid-field Captain role too?Even if it's for 70-80 mins, then bring young Brewitt on as Bucko tires.

Looked the best player on the pitch a few weeks ago even though he had to come off after 30mins with a bug.
Deffo man of the match in his spell today.

For all the games he has been involved in, the “big “ man has rarely let us down imo, even in some poor team performances. Also provided a great comedy moment, when he levelled the linesman.
Embarrassed them at Mansfield away. Must be on the pitch when fit.

Adam Buxton has played for a variety of clubs from top to bottom of the leagues and no one in his career has thought he'd make a good midfielder...tranmere didnt think he was good enough for league 2 and let hom go..
The notion that playing him out of position might get us out of trouble is a non starter

We'll never know until we've tried him.
Remember Collins last season hadn't set the world on fire anywhere else but he did OK for us.
Stop being such a Negative Ned.....

Do you think Jordan is better as a defender or midfield? I'd say 100% midfield.

What ya on about Spud , is this one of your wind up posts . He completely changed the game on Saturday , just for his composure alone he has got to be given another chance in that position . Just what our midfield has been missing , someone who can actually put their foot on the ball and pick an accurate pass and put the opposition under pressure , Oh and he has a bladdy good shot on him too.

I think you'll find it was brought to our attention and a suggestion by Andy D in his start of this thread. I'm not sure if trying Bucko in midfield v Wolves U21's would be altogether a good idea, as it they are likely to be strong, skillful, pacey opposition, but it would be interesting to see a change.

I mentioned it after the last home game but if the Burnley Oracle says otherwise, he must be right. He does watch a lot of premier league footy so what do we know?

It tends to follow that players play in their normal positions at any level, and if the manager was to try anything out of the ordinary, it wouldn't be at the behest of the moaning Minnies that want to stab him in the back.

Come on Lee... you didn't answer my question!

He's a defender that can also play in midfield, has done at other clubs, would you be happy with a 4 man midfield containing 2 left backs?, Jim obviously wants both of them in the team but...

Another solid, professional performance by Bucko tonight.
