Earning a fortune, managing in India. Is this a random game that anyone can join in with? What about Kevin Keegan? Not seen him for a while? Is David James still in Strictly or is he now unemployed?

I can see this happening. The owners aren't going to hand out a 1 or 2 year contract when they themselves are only here for 6 months more. It is going to be a short term deal.

Clever Bloke Stevie Coppell also found and rooted out Ian Wright from non league Football at Crystal Palace aswell as others.

And still 10yrs younger than Roy Hodgson so if things work out might stay longer.

Wow there is one name I woukd have never thought of but not a bad one at that. Would be suprised if he wanted to come north but maybe he would just for a few months on a short deal.

His career makes intetesting reading seems to get quick results has a good year and then moves on also doesnt seem to like contracts and just has 12 month rolling contracts. He left Brentford due to lack of resources

I just presumed jason and colin were going to ring up their old mate Paul Ince.

My random pick is less surprising and probably better for the bank account.

Stewart Drummond as manager and Kevin Ellison as first team coach in place of Kenny McKenna.

The reserves actually play much better passing football than the first team.

But Training routines would be exactly the same? Sod off!!

So Coppell was at Stevenage yesterday. He was probably scouting.

The reserves used to play nice football under Jim from what I remember.

I think promoting from within is good when there is a legacy to carry on but in our case we need a shake up and new ideas.

Agree with you P/T but it may come down to money again and Drummie would fit the bill as a caretaker from that angle. What we want (and need) is not always what we get :(

We need a change of direction and new ideas. The players need challenging with new training regimes etc. I would be happy with Coppell, it has a touch of Sammy Mac about it.

Sammy isn't working. How about a short term contract to see if he can save his own legacy ?

He left because his budget was being cut way back then, you think he'd return to an even smaller budget now?

If he has a decent bonus/contract for a deal to May and keeps us up then yes I think he would coach the players he inherits , whoever takes the job has to motivate them for the next 2 months anyway.

I'm pretty sure Sammy's contract was running out anyway and talk was it wasn't going to be renewed?

So basically Sammy walked said he wasnt staying etc to save face.

The training routines would change whoever gets the job. If it was Drummy with Kevin they would have their own ideas and considering that Drummy isn't involved with the current training of the first team squad I've every confidence in his ability to do it his way if only until the end of the season when the ownership will be sorted by the return of former Directors to the helm.....(you heard it first on here.... :lol: }

Sammy was being criticised by the fans and it went a bit sour in the final season. He signed lots of over paid journeymen like Shukar and Capaldi and bombed Jim out. He was offered a new deal by PMG but declined and left. Also rejected the chance to return with the class of 2007 at Christie.
