Not the type where you throw a computer at the wall...
Anyone got any recommendations for window suppliers & fitters in Morecambe?

Forgot Carnforth Windows - they did one for us a couple of years ago, and pretty good service for such a small job.

What you need is a nice set of leaded windows from
Working Glass Hero Keith. Excellent service and a
very nice person to deal with.
But to be serious, a lot of UPVC fitters around here get their windows made for them in Blackpool by Direct Windows. That's where I got mine and after ten years, they still work and they look excellent - and they didn't break the bank.

Personally I’d avoid Direct Windows, I had a lot of issues with them when I had my conservatory and front door done by them, now having guarantee problems, hiding behind small print and their service manager very aggressive on the phone.

They did some work for us, but we weren't impressed. There were a few problems (didn't provide what we asked for) and they weren't really interested in putting it right.

We used Jeffrey James last year and the windows are superb, house is loads warmer and you can hear a pin drop, it's that quiet,
They must be in demand as they worked at another 4 homes on the Grove, with the same result.

Planet Windows although based in Kendal do a lot of work in the Morecambe / Lancaster areas. We recently had a couple of new doors installed by them and although a wee bit more expensive than some they do an excellent job.
An engineer comes out to assess the work involved and on completion returns to make sure client is happy and does an inspection to ensure that the work is up to their usual standard. Minimum of 3 year guarantee with the doors.

Scotforth Windows, Scott did our conservatory, front door and bay window.
Very busy though, which probably says a lot, so it depends how quickly you want it done
