Just watched today's highlights of our reserves v Tranmere.

Although we lost 4-2 the highlights show a very encouraging performance from the young lads and if it wasn't for some bnd finishing on our part we would have won the game by a country mile.

The game was played mainly on the deck and Stewart and co can be proud of the work they are doing in the development of possible future first team players, assuming that DA doesn't decide to reduce the number of youngsters in order to release money for future first team building.

It's a chicken and egg scenario.

If the first team exit the EFL funding for the academy only continues for 2 seasons and I cannot see us coming back within 2 seasons if that was to happen. Dagenham had to sack their academy manager and all his staff last Summer because they hadn't been promoted back to the EFL.

Mr Adams has to prioritise saving the club from relegation ahead of everything else IMHO.
